Women Supporting Women - The SunSmart booth also served as an avenue to unite women entrepreneurs who are advocates of women empowerment, an advocacy close to Ngai's heart.
A former beauty queen and mother, Ngai believes that SunSmart has paved the way for her to reach out to more underserved communities so they may be given the same opportunities as people in the urbanized areas have.
She hopes that through SunSmart's innovative products, it can empower women and the young to continue seeking for a brighter future.
With this, SunSmart hosted the "Women Like a Sun" segment during the expo, attended by various women empowerment advocates.
“I do believe that women are like the sun,” Ngai says. “We bring light to the lives of many and it is our duty as women to empower and lift each other up.”

“My advocacy is to help women, especially mothers, to take care of themselves,” she says. “I look up to people like Jenny who takes the extra mile to reach out to people, especially in remote communities. My role is to take care of people like her, so they can still be at their very best despite their busy schedules.”
“We touch more hearts than hair”, said by Penales, an entrepreneur, the woman who has a big heart, She and her humble husband Fred secretly helping the poor and continuously giving love and charity support. Lucy agreed that women are like the sun, “Everyday we give light, like the sun, women has a natural and strong energy, we encourage and support each other”
Meanwhile, Sotto lauds SunSmart's move to highlight empowering Filipina leaders as she personally advocates OFW right, especially Filipinas who experience abuse abroad.
She says, “With over 20 years of being outside the Philippines, I saw the need to empower fellow Filipinos abroad. My goal is to inspire them to keep moving forward despite the challenges they face in their own lives, while giving them a fulfilling career.”
She hopes that through the right advocacy, she gives opportunities for Filipinas to have a fulfilling career while supporting their respective families in the Philippines.
